Our Detailed Review of ARS Hoof Trimmers

Considered by many to be one of the most effective hoof trimmers on the market today, the ARS Hoof Trimmers have several legs up on our 5-star rated Shear Magic Trimmers. First of all, the ARS Hoof Trimmers come in two sizes - allowing you to choose the right size for your hand and for your flock. These trimmers stay sharp,  have a comfortable, ergonomic rubber-coated handle, are lightweight and easy to use. Additionally the 2 1/4" ARS Hoof Trimmers feature an orange handle, which we like because this makes them easy to find in your barn or if you happen to drop them in bedding.

The only reason we dinged these trimmers a half star was the price - they are some of the most expensive hoof trimmers on the market today and we felt the Shear Magic trimmers were equally as effective at a lower price-point. With that said we could find no fault in the design or performance of the ARS Hoof Trimmers and if you're looking for popular hoof trimmers which stay sharp, are comfortable to use and perform well while trimming any sort of hoof, you can't go wrong with this product from Growtech, Inc. Whether you're battling hoof rot in your flock or you're simply looking for a tool for annual hoof trimming, we can endorse ARS Hoof Trimmers as an effective tool that will get the job done.
