The Perendale can easily be raised in areas that receive heavy rainfall and this breed is able to acclimate well to cold temperatures.

Perendale history explains that the breed was developed in order to fulfill the requirements of country farmers around the world.

Today the Perendale is one of the most common breeds in New Zealand. When the Perendale is crossbred with the Merino they are known to produce exceptional lambs.
